Fall Equinox Community Celebration

Join in community joy to sing in this Fall Equinox! All are welcome. This event is a gathering that celebrates this turning point in the season and provides a welcoming space where we can invite both old friends and curious neighbors to engage in community joy with us -- through song, shared meals, and Earth centered art. Come enjoy and engage in whatever ways feel best and right for you, whether that's just for the picnic, mandala or all night.

LOCATION: Powderhorn Park, south side near the picnic tables (park in the Rec Center parking lot and walk towards the south side of the water)

5:30 - 6pm Bring your own picnic! Bring a blanket, chairs if you like, and whatever you care to munch on.

6-6:30pm Fall mandala co-creating! (Thanks to Bridgette Weber who will be holding this part of our ritual!) Bring a flower/ leaf/ etc. or several from your home gardens or places about town to add to our Earth mandala. Step back and see yourself in the whole of it all.

6:30 - 7:30pm Community Sing! I will lead simple songs of the season, all taught by ear in a welcoming, accessible way. We’ll sing down the sun and welcome in the dusk.

7:30 onwards: An open community song circle! During this time I invite any other song leaders and community members to pop-in and lead us in song. Enjoy the beauty and variety of what arises.

Come and sing, listen, dance... you are the guide of your experience.

Donations welcome to support my songleading work.

Some considerations:
*You may want to bring a chair or blanket to sit on.

*We'll be on grass mostly.

*There are port-a-potties nearby.

*If there are other things that would mean a lot to you to have here, bring them along.
